This fall, Farm Aid 2012 is coming to Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, Pa. The benefit concert will be held on Sept. 22, and the lineup includes performances by Dave Matthews, Jack Johnson, Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, Neil Young and many more.

Farm Aid was created in 1985 by Nelson, Mellencamp and Young as a way to raise funds for family farmers throughout the U.S. The first Farm Aid event -- starring legends such as Bob Dylan and Billy Joel -- took place in Champaign, Ill. and was a booming success, raising more than $9 million for the cause.

What began as a single show has since transformed into an annual tradition, using music to help spread the word about family farms and their importance. In addition to drawing several well-known bands and artists each year, the Farm Aid concerts raise environmental consciousness through passionate speeches delivered by Young himself.
