French electronic music group M83 have signed on with American sneaker giants Converse to create a limited-edition version of their Chuck Taylor All-Stars. The shoes are white Chucks with black laces, with black dots of various sizes and "M83" on the sides.

In addition, the two forces have combined for a contest running through July 31. Fans are encouraged to create original artwork inspired by M83's most recent album, 'Hurry Up, We're Dreaming.' Up to three winners will be selected, with the art appearing on the band's posters, with 100 being made available for sale at M83's concert in New York's Central Park on Aug. 8. Winners will also receive a pair of the sneakers.

To enter, fans can submit their artwork via e-mail to M83Contest@converse.com or through the Instagram app using the hashtag #M83Converse. Winners will be announced Aug. 3. Watch the trailer below for more information.

In other news, Anthony Gonzales, the leader of M83, will compose the score for 'Oblivion,' a science fiction film starring Tom Cruise. The movie, directed Joseph Kosinski, is expected to be released in April 2013.
