Thirty years ago, in Champaign, Ill., John Mellencamp, Willie Nelson and Neil Young organized a benefit show to help raise money for American farmers called Farm Aid. As you already know, the concert only grew in size and impact over the course of three decades.

In 2014, Jack White headlined the event, and this year, for Farm Aid's 30th anniversary, along with the three founders, Dave Matthews Band, Imagine Dragons, Jack Johnson, Kacey Musgraves, Old Crow Medicine Show and Mavis Staples are all scheduled to appear, with more artists promised to be announced.

Farm Aid 30 will take place at FirstMerit Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island on Sept. 19. The ticket pre-sale begins July 29 at 12PM CT with the general on sale kicking off Aug. 3 at 10AM CT. You can find more details on tickets -- including VIP options -- here.

As you prepare for this year's installment of Farm Aid, the organization has announced the #Road2FarmAid, a "virtual campaign inviting people to share the actions they are taking to support family farmers and grow the Good Food Movement. The campaign acknowledges the important role that each one of us plays in making change and creates an opportunity for people to get involved in family farm agriculture." If that sounds of interest to you, you can jump on the #Road2FarmAid at this location.
