It was reported today (Aug. 5) that Daniel Jorgensen, a former musician in Owl City's touring band, has been charged with criminal sexual contact and attempting to lure a 14-year-old girl to his hotel room to engage in sexual intercourse while in Atlantic City in 2013. Yesterday, he was indicted by a grand jury in Atlantic County, New Jersey.

According to the Associated Press, "Authorities say he committed criminal sexual contact on the beach and then tried to lure the girl to his hotel room and the band's tour bus to have sex." Jorgensen currently faces sentences of up to 10 years in prison for the child luring charge, and up to 18 months in prison on a fourth degree sexual contact charge. His bail is set at $100,000.

Unfortunately, Jorgensen's misconducts are not exactly breaking news: In December 2013, Owl City's manager Steve Bursky released a statement that read, "As of this weekend, we have terminated Daniel Jorgensen’s employment and all involvement as a touring member of Owl City. Please understand that this business decision does not implicate Daniel in the judicial system, but was both necessary and appropriate given the allegations that have surfaced over the last handful of days."
