Glen Hansard makes his solo debut today (June 19) with his new album 'Rhythm and Repose,' but he gave fans an early peek at the new material last night on 'The Tonight Show With Jay Leno,' performing the song 'Love Don't Leave Me Waiting.'

Following last week's performance on 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,' which found Hansard treating the audience to 'High Hope,' the 'Tonight Show' performance offered listeners further proof that, while the Frames and Swell Season member might be on his own now, he's retained his way with an introspective lyric and contemplative melody.

Produced by longtime musical compatriot Thomas 'Doveman' Bartlett, 'Rhythm and Repose' gives Swell Season fans a bit of a reprieve with a handful of cameo appearances from Hansard's former bandmate Marketa Irglova, while also giving Hansard plenty of room to express himself as a solo artist in his own right. Have a look at his 'Tonight Show' performance below, and check out the complete album at NPR, where it's streaming via their 'First Listen' series.
