Fairytale siblings Hansel and Gretel are coming back to the big screen in the form of 'Witch Hunters,' a Will Ferrell-produced comedy-horror film. You may recognize the song in the movie's trailer as a dark, heavy composition by Nine Inch Nails.

The trailer reveals that Hansel and Gretel are all grown up and armed with the most sophisticated weaponry available. These are not the innocent kids who stumbled into the gingerbread house in the classic tale. They shoot machine guns and arrows as they travel far and wide to confront evil witches.

The NIN track 'The Wretched' provides the music for the trailer while Hansel and Gretel do battle with their enemies.

Few people are as adept at creating music for motion pictures as NIN's Trent Reznor, although 'The Wretched' was recorded long before he began writing motion picture scores and winning Academy Awards. The song first appeared on NIN's 1999 double-album 'The Fragile' and later showed up on the band's remix album 'Things Falling Apart.'

Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton star in 'Hansel and Gretel: The Witch Hunters,' which is targeted for a January 2013 release date.
