In 2014, Into It. Over It. mastermind Evan Weiss refuted the idea of an emo revival, arguing rather listeners were no longer, well, listening. “It’s not a revival,” he told Pitchfork, “you just stopped paying attention.”

It’s true, since emo’s disappearance from the mainstream following its early ‘00s transformation in the limelight, Weiss has kept the flame burning as Into It. Over It. with 2011’s Proper and 2013’s Intersections. That will continue with the forthcoming Standards, and today (Feb. 3), Weiss has unveiled the LP's second single “Required Reading.” Listen below (via Stereogum):

Standards is out March 11 via Triple Crown Records. “Required Reading” follows lead single “No EQ.” Weiss recorded with producer John Vanderslice at his all-analog studio in San Francisco. Pre-order the album right here.
