Launching a turntable so it can play the first vinyl record in outer space may be in Jack White’s distant future, but his immediate plans are much more down to earth: touring in support of his first solo album, 'Blunderbuss,' which made its Billboard 200 chart debut at No. 1.

White's itinerary now includes a late summer gig as part of the 2012 edition of the iTunes Festival at the legendary Roundhouse in London. Norah Jones — whose latest solo effort, '…Little Broken Hearts,' recently hit No. 2 in its first week on the Billboard 200 — is among the other just-announced confirmed acts for the annual freebie.

White's show is scheduled for Sept. 8, and Jones is booked for Sept. 10. Opening acts for these shows, as well as the monthlong festival's other headlining acts, are expected to be announced soon.

Tickets to all 2012 iTunes Festival shows are free to U.K. residents age 14 and older. Click here for more information.
