JCPenney Swimwear 2013 Commercial – What’s the Song?

Bathing suit season is right around the corner, and JCPenney is ready for it with a line of affordable and stylish swimwear, which you can preview in a new commercial. What’s the song in the ad?

The catchy tune is Gary Clark Jr.’s ‘Next Door Neighbor Blues,’ from his major label studio debut, ‘Blak and Blu,’ which dropped back in October via Warner Bros. Rolling Stone considered it among the 50 Best Albums of 2012 and praised the Austin-based singer for encompassing a wealth of different genres. In their review of the disc, they wrote, “Instead of having one signature sound, he tries a dozen, delving into modern R&B, retro soul, psychedelia and garage rock.”

You might have seen Clark Jr. on the road in years past alongside such acts as John Mayer, the Rolling Stones and Dave Matthews Band. He’s on the lineup for a bunch of upcoming festivals, including Mountain Jam, Maverick Music Festival, the Roots Picnic, Crossroads Guitar Festival, Tortuga Music Festival, Sweetlife, Beale Street Music Festival, Governor’s Ball and Super Bock.
