Singer-songwriter Kevin Devine has been issuing a series of 7" singles over the past year, wherein Devine and another artist team up for a pair of songs. For the latest and final installment of the Devinyl series, Devine partners with longtime collaborator and Brand New frontman Jesse Lacey to tackle two R.E.M. covers.

Devinyl Splits No. 6: Jesse Lacey x Kevin Devine is due out March 25 via Bad Timing Records. It features Lacey’s rendition of R.E.M.’s “Bad Day” -- which originally appeared on the band’s 2003 In Time greatest hits compilation -- on the A-side. Take a listen to the Brand New leader’s take at the top of the page. Devine covers 2001’s “Imitation of Life” for the B-side.

The single will be pressed on black vinyl and limited to 2,000 copies. You can grab yours right here. Devine has previously teamed up with Perfect Pussy's Meredith Graves, Owen, Tigers Jaw and Cymbals Eat Guitars for his Devinyl series.

Brand New are currently working on their first album in seven years, which is expected sometime this year. Lacey previously hinted the forthcoming full-length might be the band's last.
