Former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante is starting to pick up the pace again, with two releases planned for this year. The prolific guitarist once offered five releases over a year's time back in 2004, but then followed by 2009's 'The Empyrean' full-length album. The first music from Frusciante in three years is now here

The guitarist has served up a new track called 'Glowe' from his forthcoming 'Letur-Lefr' EP, which is due on July 17. Frusciante went the instrumental route for the track, which clocks in at just over a minute and is full of percussive goodness with its hi-hat and cowbell intro. The song is available as a free download for those who pre-order the disc via Frusciante's website. The EP is available through the website digitally, on CD, on vinyl, and even as a cassette.

'Letur-Lefr' is the first music coming from Frusciante this year, and he's also got a new full-length album titled 'PBX Funicular Intaglio Zone' that's due on September 24.
