Kings of Leon Perform With Questlove on ‘The Tonight Show’
If your band ever plays 'The Tonight Show' and you find yourselves down a drummer, Jimmy Fallon always has a pretty decent substitute at the ready.
Kings of Leon proved that last night when they performed 'Family Tree' with the Roots' Questlove sitting in for Nathan Followill, who is recovering from broken ribs sustained in a bus accident in Boston on Saturday. Watch video of the performance above.
Fallon said Followill is "recovering quickly," but KoL were still forced to cancel all of their shows in support of 2013's 'Mechanical Bull' during the next two weeks. They're slated to pick up the tour again on Aug. 28 at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, N.J.
Last night's collaboration isn't the only one Kings of Leon have been a part of lately: Check out this fan-shot footage of Coldplay frontman Chris Martin joining them onstage in May at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend Festival:
