Krist Novoselic sat down for an interview with Kennedy, the former MTV Alternative Nation VJ turned host of her eponymous Fox Business show. The ex-Nirvana bassist took that time to talk about grunge’s “feminine sensibility” in contrast to hair metal, politics and Kurt Cobain dreams.

During the segment, which can be seen in its entirety above, Novoselic discussed his views on proportional representation and his work as the chairman of FairVote. He also shared his thoughts on Bernie Sanders, whom he believes has taken the wrong stance on Citizens United.

“Bernie Sanders is cool; I’m concerned about the position he takes on Citizens United v. FEC,” Novoselic told Kennedy. “If you bother to read… the decision, you’ll see Citizens United was really good for transparency in elections and free speech. If we repeal Citizens United, and you have a film like Hillary: The Movie or Michael Moore’s Farenheit 9/11, you couldn’t show it on YouTube in a certain period before an election.”

As for still having dreams about his former Nirvana bandmate, Novoselic said it’s a positive experience. “It’s beautiful,” he said. “It’s just love. You know when you lose somebody and you see them in a dream and you just feel all of this love.”
