New Photos of Kurt Cobain’s Shotgun Made Public for the First Time
Seattle police released new photos on Thursday (March 16) of the shotgun that was found at the scene of Kurt Cobain’s death in 1994. You can see the photos below (via CBS News):
The photos depict the current detective on the late Nirvana frontman's case holding the shotgun in various positions. The King County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled Cobain used the weapon when he committed suicide 22 years ago. This marks the first time the gun has been seen publicly. It was only partially depicted in previous crime scene photos.
Cobain died on April 5, 1994, at the age of 27. Had he lived, he would have turned 49 years old last month.
