Against Me! frontwoman Laura Jane Grace will release a memoir, Tranny: Confessions of Punk Rock’s Most Infamous Anarchist Sellout, this fall.

Grace came out as transgender in 2012, and she has documented that journey in Against Me!’s most recent album, Transgender Dysphoria Blues, and her AOL web series, True Trans. Now, she will explore it further in the upcoming memoir, along with her adolescence and the trajectory of her band.

The Against Me! leader co-wrote the book with Noisey’s Dan Ozzi, and it’s slated for a Nov. 15 release via Hachette Book Group. “The book mixes narrative about Laura’s life -- growing up with dysphoria and playing in our generation’s most influential punk band -- with amazing journal entries she’s been keeping since she was a kid,” Ozzi told Entertainment Weekly. Grace founded Against Me! in 1997. The band released their debut effort, Against Me! Is Reinventing Axl Rose in 2002. Transgender Dysphoria Blues arrived back in 2014.
