There’s still no word as to what Liam Gallagher’s next move will be following Beady Eye’s breakup last year. Will he reform Oasis? Go solo? Form a band with Roger Daltrey or Lee Mavers? We may not know the answer for some time to come, but over the weekend, Gallagher stopped by an Irish pub for an impromptu gig and treated patrons to a new song.

On Sunday (July 26), Gallagher visited J.J. Finan’s in County Mayo, Ireland, and sat in with some local musicians. Now, footage of his performance of a new, untitled song has emerged online. Watch it at the top of the page.

As NME points out, at the very beginning of the song, you can hear Gallagher sing, “When I wake up and I hear you say / There’s no love worth chasing yesterday.” Now, gossip abound suggests the line may be a veiled reference to his brother and former Oasis bandmate, Noel Gallagher, who dropped his sophomore solo effort, Chasing Yesterday, earlier this year.

While Gallagher’s next musical project is still very much up in the air, we did recently learn the ex-Oasis leader will appear in You Own the Dançefloor, an upcoming documentary delving into the history of the famed Haçienda club in Manchester.
