Baroness have unleashed a brand-new song, “Try to Disappear,” just ahead of the release of their fourth album Purple.

Purple addresses the band’s physical and emotional rehabilitation following a tour bus accident in 2012 that left nine injured and ultimately led to a lineup change for the alt-metal outfit. Of the tracks we’ve heard thus far, John Baizley and company tackle that deeply personal subject matter with an unrestrained ferocity -- and that holds true for “Try to Disappear.” Listen above (via Stereogum).

Purple will land in full by the week’s end on Dec. 18, but Baroness have launched a scavenger hunt for fans to find nearly all of its 10 tracks. You can follow the band’s lead via #FindPurple on Twitter. The band has already shared “Chlorine & Wine,” “Morningstar” and “Shock Me.”

Baroness’ tour continues tonight (Dec. 16) in Richmond, Va. Then they have three more stops in Baltimore on Dec. 18, Philadelphia on Dec. 19 and New York City on Dec. 20. Grab tickets right here.
