We still have a few weeks before Beach House return with their new album 'Bloom.' But they're taking the edge off the wait with the release of the record's latest single, the intriguingly titled 'Lazuli' -- and you can hear it right now.

Although you can stream the single from the comfort of your browser, you'll have to head out to your local record store on Saturday (April 21) if you want to have the full experience of listening to it on vinyl, along with the non-album B-side cut 'Equal Mind.' But the YouTube version, embedded below, should still give you a pretty good idea of what to expect from 'Bloom.'

Beach House singer Victoria Legrand said that fans can look forward to lyrical expressions of "death [and] loss of innocence" in the new songs, adding that "As we've got older and as we've evolved, it's normal that there would be darker themes," although she was just as quick to point out that "There's lightness, it's not all dark."

Legrand went on to say that she and partner Alex Scally went into the sessions hoping to build a "definitive statement" that would do for Beach House what 'Disintegration' did for the Cure and 'Pet Sounds' did for the Beach Boys. Have a listen to 'Lazuli' below -- do you think they're on target?
