Siblings Sara and Sean Watkins of Nickel Creek have been performing monthly shows in Los Angeles together under the moniker Watkins Family Hour for more than a decade. Now the duo will release a self-titled album named after the show that will be comprised entirely of cover songs – some of which feature guests Fiona Apple and keyboardist Belmont Tench of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.

The band have premiered the album's cover of Fleetwood Mac's classic track, "Steal Your Heart Away" (below) from the upcoming Watkins Family Hour. It's a sped-up country rendition achieved via the comforting tones of strings and piano along with the lovely voice of Sara Watkins. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Sean Watkins commented spoke about the Watkins Family Hour and the album. “For the last 12 years, the Watkins family hour has been a live show that we did almost exclusively at Largo in L.A. with the help of some of our very favorite musicians and friends," he said. "It’s something that my sister Sara and I are very passionate about. We couldn’t be more excited to release this record."

The 11-track album features a wide range of covers from the Grateful Dead to Bob Dylan, and is due out on July 24 via Family Hour Records. Check out the tracklist below. The duo will also head out on a U.S. tour in support of the album with Fiona Apple. Catch up with the band's current itinerary via their Facebook page.
