Alt-country favorites Lucero will be hitting the road for a spell at the end of August for their 'By the Seat of Our Pants Tour.' The upcoming tour will include a handful of three-ight residencies in New York, Boston, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Those particular gigs will feature an acoustic set by Lucero to open the night.

This announcement follows the band's most recent endeavor, 'Live from Atlanta,' an epic double-LP vinyl release of a gig they played in Georgia. The album includes 32 songs from the band's last 14 years.

The band's next release will be a collaboration with poet Charlie Fasano. Lucero will give fans a 7-inch EP along with a book, entitled 'Retrospect/ed.' The record will feature Fasano reading poetry with musical backing by Lucero and the book will be filled with artwork by Fasano, including QR codes that lead fans to short films via their phones or other electronic devices.

Check out the three-night residency dates below. Get the full 2014 tour schedule at Lucero's website here.
