Massive Attack Stream New ‘Ritual Spirit’ EP, Premiere Eerie ‘Take It There’ Video

Massive Attack intend to make their 2016 a productive year with a series of releases. It all began last week with the launch of their iPhone app, Fantom, which previewed four new tracks. Those songs now appear in full on the band's Ritual Spirit EP. Stream it below via Spotify:

The four-song effort follows the English outfit’s 2010 full-length Heligoland and features collaborations with Tricky, Young Fathers, Roots Manuva and Azekel. Massive Attack’s Robert “3D” Del Naja produced the EP. You can grab a digital copy over at iTunes or pick up the double-vinyl LP right here.

The band has also unveiled a Hiro Murai-directed music video for the Tricky-featured closer “Take It There.” It stars actor John Hawkes (Deadwood, Winter’s Bone) stumbling and staggering through the night, occasionally performing an eerie choreography with backup dancers. Check it out above.

Massive Attack will follow Ritual Spirit with another EP written and co-produced by Daddy G this spring. Then, they plan to release their first full-length in five years later in 2016.
