If you're mired in holiday blues, Miley Cyrus and her new BFFs in the Flaming Lips have just released what's either the best or worst song you could possibly listen to.

The Dead Petz collaborators have shared "My Sad Christmas Song," an exceptionally dark and moody track, along with the note "#MerryF---ingChristmas."

On the melancholy number, Cyrus sings, "This is my sad Christmas song / I've had it stuck in my head all day long / I wrote it in the car on my ride home / 'Cause I knew I'd walk in the door and I'd be alone / Why'd I even put up that f---ing tree / If there's no one here that's gonna see /Just how pretty she looks on Christmas Eve / 'Cause there's no one here next to me."

Of course, both Cyrus and the Lips aren't strangers to holiday songs. Cyrus just appeared in Bill Murray's Netflix special A Very Murray Christmas and the Flaming Lips celebrated "Christmas at the Zoo" on 1995's Clouds Taste Metallic and have released holiday tunes here and there during the past two decades, including their sci-fi film Christmas on Mars, their 2003 song "A Change at Christmas (Say It Isn't So)" and the 2007 EP Atlas Eets Christmas.
