Although former My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way is now married, a father and on the verge of releasing his first effort as a solo artist, it wasn't so long ago that he was an angel-faced kid throwing down angst-ridden lyrics alongside his buds for MCR's 2002 debut, 'I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love.'

Nada Recording Studio, where the album was created, has unearthed early footage of the band (above) working on the album with producer and Thursday frontman Geoff Rickly -- who shows up to sing harmonies on 'This is the Best Day Ever.'

The 20 minutes of footage -- shot by Eyeball Records founder Alex Saavedra -- also features guitarist Ray Toro and original drummer Matt Pelissier. While much of the video is typical kids goofing off fare, it also captures shots of Way laying down vocals for 'Demolition Lovers' and 'Drowning.'

Way is set to release his solo album, 'Hesitant Alien,' on Sept. 30.
