Last month, Neon Trees debuted the brand-new, one-off single, “Songs I Can’t Listen To,” an anthemic ode to breakups and the music lost for its association with former flames. Now, the Utah rockers have shared a video for the newly minted song.

The clip stars Neon Trees frontman Tyler Glenn and the award-winning Milk screenwriter, Dustin Lance Black, as a couple in the throes of a tumultuous relationship. Watch it in the video up above.

Earlier this year, the Glenn-helmed outfit announced “An Intimate Night Out With Neon Trees,” a summer tour in support of their most recent full-length, last year’s Pop Psychology. The run of dates kicks off in a few short days on June 6 in Seattle. From there, the band has two months’ worth of shows on the books, concluding on July 26 in Boston. Check out all the stops in-between here and then grab tickets on Neon Trees’ Facebook.

Pop Psychology is Neon Trees’ third LP to date, following their 2010 debut, Habits (which brought with it the band’s breakthrough hit, “Animal”), and their 2012 sophomore effort, Picture Show. There is no word yet as to whether or not “Songs I Can’t Listen To” is a sign of a new album in the works.
