Upcoming Alternative + Rock Releases – April 2016
On April 16, vinyl lovers will have the chance to get their hands on a ton of limited-edition Record Store Day releases from the likes of David Bowie, the Flaming Lips, Patti Smith and many, many more. But the whole month will be chock full of exciting new albums, too.
The month opens with April Fools' Day releases that are (hopefully) not a joke: Faith No More frontman Mike Patton and composer John Kaada’s first collaborative LP in 12 years; the Melvins’ long-lost album withgodheadSilo’s Mike Kunka; Arctic Monkeys’ Alex Turner and Miles Kane's first full-length as the Last Shadow Puppets in eight years; and Weezer’s highly anticipated self-titled effort better known as “The White Album.” The rest of the month will see releases from Deftones, M83, PJ Harvey and more.
