The Live Album Pearl Jam Recorded at Jack White’s Place is Now for Sale
The live album Pearl Jam recorded in front of an intimate crowd at Jack White's Third Man Records Nashville Blue Room venue last month will be made available as part of the label's quarterly Vault subscription series.
You have until July 31 to pre-order Live to Acetate at TMR – which, as the name implies, was recorded directly to the master acetate as it was being performed by the band live – by subscribing to Third Man's Platinum Vault Subscription service. You can get all the details and hear a 30-second sneak peek at the album at ThirdManRecords.com.
The show featured White sitting in with the Pearl Jam for a seven-minute take on "Of the Earth," and the press release for this live album states that the guitar duels between he and PJ guitarist Mike McCready "were truly some of the most memorable and historic in seven years since the Blue Room opened its doors."
For $60 you get a black and gold split-colored vinyl version of the concert, a clear vinyl 45 of Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder performing the song "Out of Sand" (if we're reading that hand-written label correctly) solo and acoustic in the studio's Voice-O-Graph recording booth, an embossed, fabric-wrapped hardcover photo book documenting the evening, and a 1" pin featuring the Pearl Jam and Third Man logos mashed together especially for this event.
Of course, if you're already a member of Pearl Jam's long-running Ten Club, you should have received a coupon code entitling you to get all this for just $45. So, you've probably stopped reading at this point, right?
