When Ryan Adams dropped his full-album cover of Taylor Swift’s 1989 last month, he promised a physical release was forthcoming. Now, he has shared details for both CD and vinyl issues of 1989.

The album will be available on CD at the end of the month on Oct. 30. You’ll have to wait a little longer for a vinyl edition, as those are set to ship out on Dec. 18. Pre-orders are ongoing at Adams’ Pax-Am Records.

Adams’ rendition of Swift's multi-platinum 1989 arrived to impassioned response -- both the bad and the good. The day of its release, Adams and Swift spoke with Zane Lowe about the album. Swift’s review was, of course, glowing.

“The album is absolutely gorgeous and you can tell it was something well thought out and conceptualized, not just thrown together,” she told Lowe. “What struck me immediately is that they’re not just cover songs, they’re re-imaginings of my songs. He was in a different place emotionally than where I was when I wrote them. There’s this beautiful aching sadness in this album that doesn’t exist on the original.”

During the interview, Adams also revealed he already has a double-LP follow-up to his eponymous full-length, which arrived last year, in the works.
