Ryan Adams was featured as the new Daily Show's first musical guest last night (Oct. 1), performing "Bad Blood" off his recent full album cover of Taylor Swift's, 1989.

Two additional web-exclusive videos feature performances of "Style" and "Blank Space."

The Daily Show was rebooted on Monday with new host Trevor Noah. In one clip, Adams tells Noah the album was recorded in just three weeks -- par for the course at his analog-only Los Angeles studio. "If you can't do it in real life, you can't do it at all," Adams said. "I would beg to differ," Noah retorted, to audience laughter.

Adams released 1989, a heartfelt song-for-song cover of Swift's album of the same name, on Sept. 21. In an interview on Apple's Beats 1, Swift praised the record. "They’re re-imaginings of my songs," Swift says. "There’s this beautiful aching sadness in this album that doesn’t exist on the original."
