It shouldn't come as a surprise that Ryan Adams still has a few tricks up his sleeve. After showing up unexpectedly at a Bob Mould show in New York City, Adams has turned the tables and invited his own special guest to the stage. At a show in London last night (Sept. 18), iconic actor and Jack White lookalike, Johnny Depp, helped Adams tear through a couple songs for the night's encore (check out the full setlist below).

While the night featured tracks from throughout Adams' solo career -- both material with and without the Cardinals -- and even a track from the elusive, never-before-released 'Black Hole' album ('The Door'), the highlight of the evening came when Depp walked onstage and he and Adams kicked off the popular Danzig tune, 'Mother.' Check out the slowed-down rocker, complete with a Depp face-melting solo, below:

After that, Depp and company finished the night with 'Kim' from Adams' latest, self-titled LP:

And if you still need further evidence of the evening's events, a few fans took to Twitter to share their experience:

Adams is gearing up for a performance at this year's iTunes Festival Sunday, Sept. 21, followed by a North American run beginning Oct. 1 and wrapping up Nov. 23 in New York City. Get his full tour itinerary here.
