In the fan-voted category of Best British Breakthrough Act, Sam Smith took home the prize at the 2015 Brit Awards.

In the packed and competitive field that included Chvrches, FKA Twigs, George Ezra and Royal Blood, Smith was named the victor -- something he’s gotten used to recently.

In addition to the high honor at the Brit Awards, Smith picked up the Record of the Year and Song of the Year for “Stay With Me” -- as well as being named Best New Artist -- at this year’s Grammys. He also went home with a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album for his debut, In the Lonely Hour.

In addition to the 2015 accolades he's been receiving as of late, Smith had about as good of a year in 2014 as any new artist: In the Lonely Hour was the second best-selling album in the U.K. and third best-selling in the U.S., selling millions of copies in both countries. Oh, and it peaked at No. 2 in the U.S. and No. 1 in the U.K.

Congrats to Sam Smith on this massive award -- here's to an exciting 2015!
