At her concert at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles, Sky Ferreira served up her own take on the seminal Hole song, 'Asking For It.' Ferreira, who is joined onstage for the song by her boyfriend, Zachary Cole Smith, guitarist for DIIV, delivers a faithful reading of the song, which deals with rape. Ferreira was not yet two years old when the original version was released. You can watch the cover above, and compare it with the Hole original below.

Just last year, the couple made a different kind of appearance together when they were arrested for drug possession in Saugerties, New York. Smith later admitted to Stereogum that Ferreira was merely an innocent bystander.

Written by Love and guitarist Eric Erlandson, 'Asking For It' originally appeared on Hole's classic sophomore album, 'Live Through This,' and featured her husband, the late Nirvana mastermind Kurt Cobain on backing vocals. The song is also where the album title,'Live Through This,' comes from. It's almost as if Ferreira and Smith are trying to reprise the roles of Love and Cobain -- let's hope this one has a happier second act.
