Shoegazers, rejoice! Slowdive are back in action, and have just announced tour dates for the U.S. and Canada. The recently reunited band is set to hit North America for a run of shows starting on Oct. 22 at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C.

The North American tour will be preceded by two months' worth of dates in Europe. "We are very excited to return to the U.S.A. and Canada for a full North American tour in October/November this year," the band wrote on its website.

This marks the band's first concerts in the U.S. since 1994. In addition to the October dates, the reunited Slowdive will be making stops at the Pitchfork Festival in Chicago on July 20 and at the FYF Fest in Los Angeles on Aug. 23.

Interest in the dreamscape sounds of Slowdive, and other bands that were part of the shoegaze scene of the late '80s and early '90s, is riding high with the resurrection of My Bloody Valentine (who released their first album in 20-plus years in 2013) and the upcoming documentary 'Beautiful Noise.'

Tickets for Slowdive's North American tour go on sale Friday. Here's a complete list of dates.
