Soko Debuts Trippy Video for New Single, ‘Ocean of Tears’

If the French grunge rocker Soko’s new single, ‘Ocean of Tears,’ sounds like a downer, the new video for the song is anything but. The Nina Ljeti-directed clip follows Soko as she dances through grocery store aisles while donning a snorkeling mask, rocks out with friends in giant bunny masks and cuddles with a begrudging black cat. When discussing the new video, the now L.A.-based artist told Dazed, “I wanted to lose control, lose a sense of self and just have fun.”

‘Ocean of Tears’ will appear on Soko’s upcoming sophomore album, ‘My Dreams Dictate My Reality,’ which is slated for a March 3 release on Babycat Records. The singer and multi-instrumentalist debuted the album's lead single, 'Who Wears the Pants ??', last month. Take a listen to that track below:
