Massachusetts indie rockers Speedy Ortiz released the single "Raising The Skate" back in February and today (May 13), they've premiered a video for the song. The clip directed by Casey Herz features the group in a haunted house and employs all kinds of gratifyingly cheesy horror movie tropes: creepy eyes in the mirror; a large, dimly lit, old-fashioned house; shaky camerawork; and a lot of blood. It's a great time, so check it out below.

"Raising The Skate" is the first single from Foil Deer – the group's third album which dropped last month via Carpark Records. We enjoy the album and called the synthy additions to their sound "added muscle, giving the band a stronger build and allowing [singer Sadie Dupuis] to not only cast off the bulls--t, but to go off imagining something better."

Speedy Ortiz also took part in the phenomenally cool playable postcard series, in which subscribers get a new 7-inch postcard every month with a playable record embedded right onto it.
