Stone Roses' Gary "Mani" Mounfield had a big secret when his band returned to the stage earlier summer: His wife, Imelda Mounfield, is pregnant with twins. The bassist and his wife reportedly knew the big news when the original Stone Roses lineup performed their first gigs together in more than 20 years, but they decided not to share it until now.

“They are absolutely overjoyed.” an unidentified source told British rag The Sun. The Mounfields reportedly wanted to keep the news to themselves until Imelda made it through the first trimester of her pregnancy. "Yes it's true, we are over the moon and due just before Xmas time all being well," he added in a tweet sent to author Irvine Welsh. "I know lots of work ahead!"

Speaking of new arrivals, the Stone Roses are working on material for what will be the band's first album since 1996's 'Second Coming.' A story posted in May reported that the band had at least three or four new songs complete, and another from earlier this month confirmed that the Stone Roses are eyeing a 2013 release for the as-yet-untitled set. Despite their plans, the band have yet to perform any new material during their reunion gigs this year.
