Taco Bell Doritos Locos Commercial – What’s the Song?

A short Taco Bell commercial for its Doritos Locos Taco features the music of indie rock band Generationals.

The 15-second spot, titled 'Inevitable,' features only three different images. First is a single Dorito chip, followed by a shot of the Doritos Locos Taco, a supreme taco made using a nacho cheese Dorito as the shell. Finally, a young lady takes a bite of the taco and is clearly satisfied with what she tastes. "Completely surprising, yet somehow inevitable," a voiceover declares.

In the background, viewers hear the Generationals song 'You Say It Too,' which has a garage pop feel similar to the music of Peter Bjorn and John. Fifteen seconds isn't much to go on, but we're definitely digging the jangly guitars.

'You Say It Too' appears on the group's second album 'Actor-Caster,' which Generationals released on Park the Van Records in 2011. Despite their short history, Generationals have already had at least three songs featured in other media, from a Reese's commercial to major motion pictures, but the Taco Bell ad could be the biggest exposure the New Orleans-based band has received to date.
