Tame Impala's Currents was one of the most critically acclaimed albums of 2015. Now, the group are planning to put out a deluxe edition of it that will include b-sides. There is no known release date.

Kevin Parker, the group's leader, broke the news in an Instagram post yesterday (July 18) that celebrated the anniversary of Currents. "1 year since this album was released!" the caption read. "Feels like a lifetime ago but also like it was yesterday at the same time. Needless to say i didn't predict the effect it would have on my life... and other peoples too it seems.... Endless thank you to everyone who got onboard. PS. Deluxe + B sides in the works! Stay tuned.."

Currents, Tame Impala's third record, saw Parker move away from the guitar-based psychedelic rock in favor of keyboards and an R&B approach. And for the first time, he played every instrument and mixed the record himself. It was awarded Best Rock Album and Album of the Year at the 2015 ARIA Music Awards, the equivalent of the Grammys in Parker's native Australia.

Next month, they will headline the FYF Fest at Exposition Park in Los Angeles, part of a two-day lineup that includes Kendrick Lamar, the re-formed LCD Soundsystem, Beach House, Hot Chip, Father John Misty, Grimes and Moby. From there, Tame Impala will play a week's worth of shows in the U.S. and two dates in Mexico. You can see all the dates at Tame Impala's website.
