The Heirs are gearing up for the release of their new EP later this year, and today (July 31), Diffuser is ecstatic to partner with the L.A.-based pop rockers to premiere the lead single’s official lyric video -- check out the powerful “Alright Goodnight” in the player above.

With a steady rhythm and an electronic beat that immediately embraces the listener, “Alright Goodnight” highlights the duo's intense live show while putting a focus on their positive lyrics.

"'Alright Goodnight' means a lot to us because it was the first track that we wrote during the evolution of becoming the band that we are now," the Heirs tell us. "We are so excited that this lyric video captured our live energy and aesthetic and we can now share that with everyone."

Lyrics like, "They say we're free / For a certain fee / You can't always get what you wanna get / Alright / Goodnight," are very special to the Heirs: "It’s about people stepping out and asserting themselves," Savannah Hudson explains. "You can always speak your feelings. Everybody deserves to have a say. There are so many negative things in the world."

The Heirs’ upcoming EP coincides with their recent major label signing with Capitol Music Group; they’ll be hitting the road for an intimate, three-night run of shows to celebrate. The Three Nights of Ecliptic Tour kicks off on Aug. 29 at the Roxy in Los Angeles followed by a Sept. 10 gig at Chicago’s Schubas, wrapping up at the Studio at Webster Hall in New York City on Sept. 11. You can find more details on the shows -- and pick up “Alright Goodnight” -- at the Heirs' official website.
