The emotional trailer for 'The Impossible,' an upcoming major motion picture about the 2004 Indonesian tsunami that killed more than 200,000 people, features the music of U2 covered by another Irish artist.

Remember Damien Rice? The Irish singer-songwriter released two acclaimed albums in the early 2000s but has been laying low for several years. His cover of the U2 ballad 'One' serves as the soundtrack for the trailer, which depicts the true story of a family vacationing in Indonesia when the tsunami hit.

When the water rushes into their resort, the family gets separated and spends the next several days searching hospitals and shelters in a desperate effort to locate each other. 'The Impossible' stars Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts and hits theaters in Spain in October, with an expected U.S. release in December.

Rice won the Shortlist Music Prize for his stunning debut 'O' in 2002 and followed with '9' in 2006, but he hasn't released a record since. His version of 'One' appeared on 'Ahk-Toong Bay-bi Covered,' a 2011 tribute album commissioned by Q Magazine that featured covers of all 12 songs from U2's classic 'Achtung Baby.' Patti Smith, Snow Patrol, Garbage and Nine Inch Nails also contributed to the project.
