Although the brand new Thurston Moore Band are officially slated to kick off their first tour today with an appearance at Belgium's Pukkelpop Festival, they jumped the gun with a far more intimate -- and secret -- show last night at Cafe OTO in London. Check out their performance of 'Detonation' above along with 'Forever Love' and 'Grace Lake' below.

The former Sonic Youth co-leader recruited the seminal alternative outfit's longtime drummer Steve Shelley, My Bloody Valentine bassist Debbie Googe and U.K. singer-songwriter James Sedwards for the new four-piece. Moore said during the show that the band will release their debut full-length 'The Best Day' on Oct. 21.
