Hippo Campus are just coming off of a smart trek to Austin's SXSW -- and not just because they're named after a portion of the brain, but because their first-ever trip to the festival put them on the map. Last night (March 24), the indie quartet made their network television debut on Conan to lay down a lively performance of their song "Suicide Saturday." You can watch the recap below.

The song appears on the band's debut EP, Bashful Creatures. The physical edition of the EP is due out May 5 via Grand Jury Records, but for the digitally-inclined, you can pick it up now via iTunes -- and after a performance like the one below, we're certainly pumped to get our hands on it.

After playing multiple high-profile gigs in Austin, the band will appear at this year's Lollapalooza at Chicago's Grant Park, taking place the weekend of July 31. They will also kick off their first-ever tour with the Mowgli's and Night Riots at San Francisco's the Independent. You can check out all of their currently scheduled tour dates here.
