TV on the Radio frontman Tunde Adebimpe is no stranger to the silver screen. From appearances in short films to his role in the 2008 Anne Hathaway-starring Rachel Getting Married, Adebimpe has successfully crossed over from musician to actor and back again. Adebimpe will soon take on his biggest role yet, starring opposite Kristen Wiig in the indie flick, Nasty Baby.

The trailer for the upcoming movie has surfaced, and you can check it out at the top of the page. Wiig portrays the friend and surrogate to a gay couple portrayed by Adebimpe and Nasty Baby’s director and writer Sebastián Silva. The trailer first depicts what appears to be, on the surface, a sweet, heartfelt story, but halfway through, things take a dark, thriller-esque turn.

Nasty Baby has already premiered at Sundance and the Berlin International Film Festival. It’s set to make a limited theatrical release on Oct. 23 before its on-demand release on Oct. 30.

TV on the Radio are currently on tour in support of last year’s Seeds. They’ll appear at D.C.’s Landmark Festival on Sept. 27 and Austin City Limits on Oct. 3 and 10. Get more details at the band’s website.
