Watch an 11-Year-Old Bjork Recite the Nativity Story on Icelandic TV

Apparently Björk was a born performer – well, pretty much. At a mere 11 years old, the singer was filmed reading the Nativity story on the Icelandic TV channel, RUV. With the holidays just around the corner, the station has rereleased the 1976 clip, which you can watch in full on RUV’s website.

As the young Björk recites the Nativity story, she is backed by music from the Reykjavik Children’s Music School and joined by who else but Santa.

The vintage footage will have to tide Björk fans over as they wait for the singer-songwriter to release her next – and ninth – album this upcoming year. She announced she was working on the forthcoming album back in October.
