Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and that means it’s almost time for Record Store Day Black Friday. With just a few days between us and a whole bunch of exclusive, special-edition vinyl releases, Green Day have added one more title to the stack.

The trio will reissue their Grammy-winning 2004 punk-rock opera, American Idiot, on vinyl this Friday, Nov. 27. The two-LP release features disc one pressed on red-and-black vinyl, while disc two will appear on black-and-white vinyl. It will be limited to a run of 5,000 copies available at participating independent record stores on Friday. You can find a shop near you at Record Store Day’s website.

It’s been a big year for revisiting the now more than decade-old album, which was a pivotal moment in Green Day’s career. Heart Like a Hand Grenade, a documentary chronicling the album’s making, premiered in theaters last month. Included in that film was never-before-seen footage of the band performing American Idiot for the very first time during a show in L.A. in 2004.

If you're heading to your local record store on Black Friday, you can also keep an eye out for special releases from the likes of the Arcs, Nine Inch Nails, Beck, Spoon, David Bowie, Garbage, Outkast and many more.
