New Music Releases – April 2015
Last month, we were treated to a ton of terrific releases from the likes of Noel Gallagher, Modest Mouse, Courtney Barnett and more. While the month isn’t quite over yet (Death Cab for Cutie and Sufjan Stevens -- among others -- are set to drop albums next week), April promises to bring just as many exciting releases.
Blur are perhaps the most surprising; they’ll release The Magic Whip, their first album in more than a decade, on April 28. Idaho indie-rockers Built to Spill will also make a comeback on April 21 with Untethered Moon, their first LP in six years. Tom DeLonge, on the other hand, will make his debut as a solo artist with To the Stars … Demos, Odds and Ends on the same day, following a tumultuous feud with his Blink-182 bandmates.
