Electro-pop act Passion Pit have issued a video for 'Take a Walk,' the first single from their forthcoming 'Gossamer' album. The clip, which follows the day in a life of a bouncing blue ball, was made in cooperation with the Creators Project arts initiative.

Electro-pop scensters Passion Pit have announced additional U.S. tour dates to launch in fall 2012. The trek will help promote the band's upcoming album, 'Gossamer,' which is due out next month.

Frontman Michael Angelakos and the gang have added narrative texture to their sugary electropop: while still largely the musical equivalent of a Fun Dip,  the lead single off of July 24's 'Gossamer' considers as it stomps and contemplates while it jumps -- grab a listen below.

Passion Pit have revealed that they are releasing a brand new album this summer. Fans can also look forward to a few warm-up shows from the electropop quintet before their slate of festival appearances.

Passion Pit frontman Michael Angelakos describes his band's next album as "pretty good" in an interview with Pitchfork in which he also declares that the record will be emotional, honest and more innovative than the group's last album, 'Manners.'

Beck, Passion Pit and Modest Mouse are the headliners for the newly-expanded Governors Ball Music Festival, a two-day event set to take place June 23-24 on Randall's Island in New York City.
