Alt-J Release Two Music Videos for ‘Every Other Freckle’
Ahead of the release of their highly-anticipated second full-length LP, 'This Is All Yours,' British art-rockers Alt-J have unveiled not one, but two brand-new music videos for 'Every Other Freckle.' You can watch the 'Boy' version in the video above and 'Girl' below.
Both videos feature similar footage -- including a cat falling into a beanbag to coincide with the lyrics -- but each focuses on a specific gender. 'Every Other Freckle' is a sexually-driven song with lyrics like, "I want to share your mouthful / I want to do all the things your lungs do so well / I’m gonna bed into you like a cat beds into a beanbag / Turn you inside out and lick you like a crisp packet." With the release of the two videos, it's obvious the lyrics could be from the perspective of a boy or a girl.
Alt-J unveiled 'Every Other Freckle' a few weeks ago and played it for the first time in front of a live audience Tues. night (Sept. 2) at a small club show in New York City.
'This Is All Yours' follows the band's critically-acclaimed and award-winning debut, 'An Awesome Wave.' It hits storeshelves stateside on Sept. 23 via Infectious Records. Get details on the release -- and Alt-J's upcoming fall tour -- here.
