Adele's 2011 album, the highly-acclaimed 21, has been ranked as the top-selling album of the decade (so far) in the U.K.

The British singer's second album was a massive worldwide hit, reportedly selling a whopping 30 million copies worldwide. It topped the U.S. and British charts, charged by the hit singles "Rolling in the Deep" and "Rumour Has It." It went on to win a Grammy for Album of the Year, as well as a BRIT for British Album of the Year.

In the era of plastic pop, her distinct approach and style appealed to a wide and varied audience on her own terms, helping her stand out as an unlikely pop star (to say the least). "Even if I had a really good figure, I don't think I'd get my t--s and ass out for no one," she told Rolling Stone back in 2011. "I love seeing Lady Gaga's boobs and bum. I love seeing Katy Perry's boobs and bum. Love it. But that's not what my music is about. I don't make music for eyes, I make music for ears."

As for the rest of the list, courtesy of the Official Charts company, it's certainly a grab bag of titles that may, or may not, be fondly remembered decades -- or even months -- from now.
