Black Angels Announce New ‘Death Song’ Album, Spring 2017 Tour
The Black Angels will return this spring with their fifth full-length album, Death Song — and they're already treating fans to the record's first single, "Currency."
Death Song, whose title serves as a nod to the Velvet Underground track that inspired the band's name, is due out April 21 and is available to pre-order now. In addition to the standard digital and physical formats, fans can also purchase special bundles through the group's site, featuring the album plus t-shirts, posters, and various extra swag.
Less than a week after Death Song's arrival, Black Angels are scheduled to head out on what's being billed as the Death March Tour; between April 26 and May 20, the band has a run of dates lined up with support act A Place to Bury Strangers. Listen to "Currency" via the above audio embed, and take a look at the complete Death Song track listing — as well as the band's currently announced tour dates — below.
