It's looking more and more like we're going to get new music from Bon Iver at some point this fall. Today (July 12), Justin Vernon revealed three more shows in California to go with the previously Oct. 23 concert with Patti Smith at the Hollywood Bowl.

The three new dates are at Oakland's Fox Theater (Oct. 18), the Beach Goth Festival in Santa Ana (Oct. 22) and Copley Symphony Hall in San Diego (Oct. 26). This is in addition to their slot at their Eaux Claires Music and Arts Festival in their hometown of Eau Claire, Wisc., on Aug. 12-13. Other acts slated to appear at the festival are Mavis Staples, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, Lucius and Jenny Lewis.

Bon Iver haven't released a full-length album since 2011's Grammy-winning Bon Iver, Bon Iver. And while a handful of dates don't necessarily mean a new record is on the way, back in February, Vernon revealed that he was writing songs, and was hoping to get it finished in time to debut the new material in time for Eaux Claires.

"I’ve been working on music, you know, man," he said. "It takes a long time, and I’m not sure exactly what it is or what it means to me, and until that happens I won’t really know exactly what sharing it will look like or feel like or when. There’s sort of this internal pressure, not from anybody but myself, to come out with new music for the festival. But I’m not gonna make myself do anything. I really have to take it step by step and have patience and know that the music — if it comes out, it’s gotta be really true, it’s gotta really live with the other records and extend from them and be reborn and all that. There’s a lot that goes into it. I’ve definitely been working on music."
